Dear Teamster Rail Members:

This message is to inform you of the ongoing anti-union activities of CSX at the railhead in Annapolis Junction, Md.

In May, CSX locked out about 40 Teamster Carhaulers from the Annapolis Junction railhead after negotiations broke down between Teamsters Local 355 and a company called Auto Warehousing Company (AWC) that runs the yard on behalf of CSX.

CSX also temporarily replaced these workers with non-union scabs with the plan to eventually replace them with non-Teamster workers. For 40 years, your fellow Teamster Carhaulers have worked this railhead and now CSX and its subsidiary that owns the railhead, TDSI, are disrespecting not only those Brothers and Sisters but all Teamsters.

Please stand with our fellow Teamsters as they stood with us when we engaged in our own battle for a national rail agreement.  Teamsters from all over the country ran to Capitol Hill in support of our plight against the greedy Class I railroad companies, which included CSX.  Now their fight is our fight, and an aggressive response is warranted to preserve 40 years of Teamster-protected jobs

In Solidarity,

Mark Wallace, President, Teamster Rail Conference and First Vice President Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen

Eddie Hall, National President, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen

Tony Cardwell, National President, Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division
