Derailed crude oil train cars in Saskatchewan leaked, ignited despite enhanced safety features

CALGARY — The oil-carrying Canadian Pacific Railway train that derailed and lit up an area of rural Saskatchewan earlier this week was pulling modified tank cars meant to reduce the risk of puncturing and other damage during a crash.
