BNSF names first female CEO of a major U.S. railroad

NEW YORK — BNSF, the railroad unit of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., on Monday named Kathryn Farmer as its new chief executive officer, making her the first female CEO of a major U.S. railroad.
